El Palacio de Hierro elevates the definition of a luxury experience at it’s Polanco Flagship in the epicenter of Mexico City. The team created a design strategy; helping the client to expand dynamically, to eventually encompass an entire city block.

This realignment of interior spaces added both a fourth level of retail sales floor and an outdoor terrace to the upper levels of the building. During her tenure as Design Director at Gensler, Sondra led the design of the second floor, including The Gourmet experience; an 80,000 SF food hall which plays homage to Mexican heritage brands while accommodating emerging brands and innovative tenants. She also developed the Sports, Technology, Luggage, Footwear, and Mens departments.
